Our Story

Honey Badger was inspired by authentic barbeque traditions of Texas. Our smoked meats are marinated in  Special Blend seasoning for 24 hours then slow cooked for up to 16 hours. Our flavors are far from ordinary. The marriage between our seasonings, mesquite wood and low heat, we’ve taking the original comfort food and elevated it with our own signature style. HOW IT BEGAN...
Honey Badger Bar-B-Que has roots Gonzales and Sequin Texas where Beck Harris Sr. was well known for his barbeque and sauce. He was affectionately known as Mr. Beck by locals whom he catered for. This started a barbeque tradition in his family with his secret sauce and seasoning. This tradition was passed it on to his grandaughter Gervaise who passed it down to her son Michael Roberts. Who had a passion to barbeque since he could remember. Honey Badger was established in 2015 by after he turned his passion of barbequing into a business. After a 20 year career with the local utility company Michael purchased a food truck and begin servicing the Northwest side of San Antonio Texas.

His meats and badger beans became so popular that customers started requesting private events and parties. These request became so popular that his sold truck after two years and began private catering only. Being missed by his customers due to easy access and taste cuisine encouraged this online operation where everybody can experience the Honey Badger.
